"How Healed Do You Want To Be?"

Art Journaling Workshop

It is a sharp-edged world and getting hurt is unavoidable. Whether it is physical, spiritual or emotional, we all experience pain on some level and are left with trying to pick up the pieces. What do we do? How do we move forward? Do we want to merely get bandaged up so we can get back into the game? Or do we want something so powerful and miraculous that it leaves us better than when we first experienced pain?

In How Healed Do You Want to Be? author William (Bill) Faris explores the world of healing from a different perspective, defining the true nature of healing and challenging the reader to ask those tough questions that help them discover the deep healing God has for their lives. In this book, Bill lays out a biblical road map that helps readers understand where they are in the healing process and what the next steps to a better life might look like.

In this art journaling workshop based on Bill Faris’s book, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Explore healing and wholeness through guided art journaling exercises to better integrate the material into your life.

  • Participate in a small class (maximum 10 participants per class) with a safe, supportive environment.

  • Focus on interacting with the healing themes through creative expression (rather than mastering specific art techniques).

  • Participate in group sharing, support and encouragement.

  • Create a visual reminder of your healing journey that you can refer to again and again.

Required materials:

  • A copy of Bill’s book “How Healed Do You Want to Be” (either print or Kindle version) – both are available through Amazon.

  • A blank mixed-media art journal

  • Any personal art supplies you would like to use (A variety of art materials will be available for use during class each week.)

This is a 12-Week workshop with one week corresponding with each chapter in the book.
